LEALMAN — Residents of the Lealman community will have an opportunity to give input on making Raymond H. Neri Community Park a place everyone can enjoy. A public meeting discussing the development of the park’s master plan will be held Thursday, May 23, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Lealman Exchange, 5157 45 St. N. in St. Petersburg.
Residents will be asked what improvements and elements, such as playgrounds, green space and athletic fields, they would like to see included in the park’s leisure and recreation plan. They will have an opportunity to see how those elements fit within the park space.
The master plan will show how space can be used within the park and how Pinellas County resources may be best used to provide what residents believe are most important and meets the community’s needs.
Attendees will be given information about the park’s history and see improvements that have been made over the years.
The Raymond H. Neri Community Park (formerly Joe’s Creek Greenway Park) was re-named in October 2018, after the late Raymond H. Neri, who championed the Lealman community.
The master plan is available online for review and comment. A survey about park improvements will be available online through May 31. To see a draft of the Raymond H. Neri Community Park Master Plan and to take the Citizen Survey, visit www.pinellascounty.org/park/raymondhneri.htm.
