LARGO — Keep Pinellas Beautiful, the local Keep America Beautiful Affiliate and nonprofit organization held its annual Awards Recognition Luncheon in Largo on June 13 to honor the organization’s top volunteers, partners and businesses for their efforts to keep Pinellas clean green and beautiful.
Last year Keep Pinellas Beautiful worked with almost 19,000 volunteers cleaning up and greening up the public lands and communities throughout Pinellas County. They protected the county’s source water by preventing over 600,000 pounds of trash and debris from entering the waterways.
“The programs provided by Keep Pinellas Beautiful and their supporters are helping to build a whole community of practice by raising the bar on the cultural level of expectations,” said Pat DePlasco KPB Executive Director.
