Fans may not be able to enter Tropicana Field during this year's truncated Major League Baseball season, but they can be there another way.
The Tampa Bay Rays announced fan cutouts are available to purchase for the 2020 season. The cutouts will be placed throughout general admission seating areas during Rays home games.
Think of them as those life-sized Fathead decals of athletes and famous people, except now it'll be you.
"We're excited to offer this opportunity to our fans during the extraordinary point in history," said Rays Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services Eric Weisberg. "This is a way for our fans to feel like they are part of the action at Tropicana Field, and at the end of the season, they will get to take home a game-used souvenir."
Fans interested in creating and purchasing a cutout can go to raysbaseball.com/fancutouts. Cutouts are $40 for season ticket holders and $60 for all other fans.
Cutouts will be installed in waves, depending on when the photo is uploaded. Once the season ends, fans will be able to take home their cutouts. Details about picking up the cutouts will be communicated to fans when the season ends.
